Redbridge Jewish Care A maintained their title hopes with a comfortable win over lowly Camden Park on Matchday 18 of the MGBSFL season. There was also action in the Peter Morrison Trophy, as league leaders NLR A put nine past London Haroldeans. Danny Caro looks back on the programme.

League leaders NLR A maintained their treble hopes as they crushed second division strugglers London Haroldeans 9-1 in Wembley.
There were braces for Josh Green, David Dinkin and Matt Stock, plus one apiece from Jonny Blain and player-manager Phil Peters as NLR steamrolled their opponents.
Peters was satisfied with his side’s performance but made clear that there is room for improvement. He told JC Sport: "The result looks very one-sided an ultimately it was, but Haroldeans pushed us very hard in the first half and we didn’t raise our game or make it out of first gear. We definitely improved in the second half and the goals being shared around by our attackers and we’re delighted to still be competing in all three competitions."

Shirley Park's superior finishing ability proved decisive as Dave Lusman's men started the year in style - thumping Bilbaum 703 to move into round three.
Jamie Kent was Shirley's hat-trick hero, with two apiece from Stefan Benfredj and Saul Conway finishing the job.
Shirley boss Dave Lusman told JC Sport: "It was a fair performance from Park who are looking forward to progressing to the next round."

In-form Oakwood continued their excellent start to 2014 as Guy Helman, Brad Wine, Jonny Quinn (2) and Josh Rose helped them cruise past first division strugglers Hendon B at Brunel.
Oaks joint-manager Ric Blank told JC Sport: "It was a solid performance on the 3G to get us into the next round of the Morrison. We controlled the game from start to finish and showed the patience you need to get a result on that surface.
"It was a great opportunity to give players minutes and with no Kintish, Geey, Cousins, Bentley or Levine, others took the opportunity presented them. If we were more clinical we'd have won by many more but we have to be happy scoring five for the second consecutive Sunday. Next up Faithfold - we're ready."

A last-minute strike from Josh Newman saw first division title hopefuls Brady B saw Brady sneak into the hat for the next round following a hard-earned victory over the Maccabiah Masters in a five-goal thriller at Rowley Lane.
Paul Lenchner and Paul Buxton registered for the Masters.

HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A 2 SOUTHGATE HARMEN 1
Greg Corin and Yoav Kestenbaum were Hendon's goal men as they won an evening kick-off 2-1 against Harmen at Rowley Lane.
Harmen's goal came through Sam Castle.
Hendon boss David Garbacz told JC Sport: "Enormous credit should go to both teams for pulling out all the stops in order to get this game played. We scored two great goals today with moments of class from Greg and Yoav Kestenbaum and ultimately that proved the difference. We look forward to the next round."
Harmen joint-manager Joel Alterman told JC Sport: "All in all it was a performance that every single Harmen player could be proud of - a team of mostly new faces coming up against an experienced team from the top flight. It’s now time for us to focus on the league, after our performance on Sunday we need to push on in our promotion bid so that we can challenge ourselves against the likes of Hendon A week in, week out next season."

Premier Division FC Team A needed extra-time to see off in-form Woodford Wanderers.
A deadly double from Marc Harris and one from Adam Rones took Team through.
Harrison Midda registered for Woodford in a tie that finished 1-1 after 90 minutes.
FC Team manager Mitch Young told JC Sport: "It was a good battling performance against a talented Woodford side. We missed a shedload of easy chances to kill the game earlier, but overall I am pleased to progress to the next round in what could have been a real banana skin. I was delighted with the attitude of my players and we scored some lovely goals. I am looking forward to the reminder of the season."
Woodford boss Tony Charles told JC Sport: "It was a poor performance from Woodford today, and possibly the last for some players."

LML White recorded their third consecutive win as they put their Premier Division woes aside with a handsome 4-1 victory over third division Boca Jewniors at Rowley Lane.
Strikes from Sam Shooter, Jamie Belchak, Ozzy Doron and James Gershfield eased them through.
Top-scorer Dovi Fehler grabbed a consolation for Boca.
LML assistant-manager Johnathan Meltzer told JC Sport: "It was not the best of performance but a nice result to start the new year and kick on from last year's result against Redbridge."

Michael Kenley bagged a brace as Brady finished the weekend in second position after winning the Rowley Lane derby 3-1.
Adam Arnold scored the other to give Joel Nathan's men three valuable points.
Nathan told JC Sport: "It was a convincing win and we were never in danger as we controlled the match from the first whistle until the last."
Lions player-manager Jamie Kyte scored his first goal of the season, and told JC Sport: "We played a very young Brady team today who had a very strong midfield. When they have to play us at home, I'm sure it'll be a different matter."

Two more goals from Adam Stolerman and one from Danny Berg earned Redbridge their fifth win of the season as they moved on to 18 points and close the gap on Raiders with a comfortable victory over Camden at Fairlop.
RJC boss Sam Rosenthal told JC Sport: "We were excellent, on a poor pitch and looked sharp after a good winter break. The hot chocolate at half time helped and I'm not sure Camden really fancied a cold January day out in Essex.
Camden manager Josh Marks told JC Sport: "We had a solid first half against the hill and the wind. We thought we could go out in the second and get a result, but were undone by a quality strike within two minutes and then gave away an unlucky penalty and that was it really.

NLR B marched eight points clear at the top of the table after completing a league double over Oakwood B, with goals from Andrew McMaster and Dave Esterkin.
Josh Marlow netted for Oakwood.
Adelman told JC Sport: "You know what you're going to get when you play Oakwood, but we came ready to roll our sleeves up and get muddy for the win."
Oaks boss Ian Tussie told JC Sport: "We started and ended the game well but they are a well organised, very fit team epitomised by the constant running from Dave Esterkin in the middle of midfield. We pulled a goal back with 15 to go and we very nearly equalised at the end through Adam Blin, but it wasn't to be. We're improving and need to get that win to arrest the run of defeats."

KING CROWN MAKE THEIR POINT
KING CROWN 3 TEMPLE FORTUNE 3
An 85th minute strike from Josh Karpf ensured a share of the spoils for King Crown in a six-goal thriller against bottom team Temple Fortune.
Fortune caught King Crown cold after five minutes but the hosts levelled just five minutes later as an over-head kick from the impressive Sacha Nusenbaum fell to Yoel Deal who tapped in to equalise. King Crown then went ahead as Nusenbaum played in Benji Greenblatt.
Fortune's goals came through Gideon Wetrin, Zack Rich and Rob Jay.
King Crown boss Jacob Kadoch told JC Sport: "It was a very harsh lesson in what happens when you don't finish your dinner. But character is massive and earning a point even though it was the least we deserved."
Fortune manager Jonathan Cohen told JC Sport: "It was a game we could have won but at least we scored three goals and finally stopped the run of defeats. I'm happy with our performance and we certainly deserved to come away with something."
