But Nathan, part of the delegation of 385 athletes, managers and coaches, admits it will be his highlight of the Jewish Olympic Games.
The Team GB general manager said: "The events are special when you give your all against rival teams, trying to ensure Maccabi Great Britain's name is at the forefront.
"But at the Opening Ceremony we are as one.Â
"Every Jewish athlete coming together to celebrate this brilliant event.
"It will be one of my highlights for sure. We are at the third biggest sporting event in the world. You can't forget that.
"There's been a lot of hard work involved behind the scenes.
"So walking into that stadium will be spine tingling.
"I will feel great pride in walking behind Bernie, Brian and Jack who represent everything that Maccabi GB stand for."
Assistant team manager Green, who first became involved with the Maccabi movement aged 21, has held managerial roles at the 11 International Games with Maccabi Great Britain.
Almost half of his appointments have been with wife Helena as Delegation Head of MGB’s JCC Maccabi Games squads.
Green said: "I was humbled to be given the opportunity of carrying the Maccabi GB flag.Â
"I will be so proud to represent this great organisation and country."
