A stunning comeback from Chigwell Athletic denied defending champions North London Raiders what would have been a crucial victory at the top of the Maccabi Masters Football League Division One.
Raiders stormed into a 3-1 lead with 25 minutes remaining through Elan Ovits, Adam Harvey (2) and David Lederman but the leaders hit back to preserve their advantage thanks to strikes from Adam Stolerman (3) and Adam Barton.
Dan Swimer was the hat-trick hero as HMH earned an emphatic 5-0 win over Faithfold. Simon Ritterband and James Pincus added the gloss in the second game at the Hive.
There were also three goals for Scott Warren as Brady Maccabi A crushed Scrabble 4-1. Serge Cowan claimed the goal of the game with a stunning individual effort for Scrabble.
Maccabi London Lions continue their seemingly inexorable march towards another title as Jason Harris, Michael Abraham and David Kyte gave them a seventh successive victory with a 3-1 win over St John’s Wood Tigers. Perry Somers notched a consolation for Tigers.
EDRS Stonegrove maintained their challenge as doubles from Steve Krieger and Martin Seifert gave them a 4-1 win over Hendon Harriers. Richard Reuben grabbed a consolation.
There was relief for Temple Fortune fans In Division Two as a last-minute goal from Phil Mayer secured their first win of the season against Brady B.
