Former Wingate FC and Maccabiah goalkeeper Gary Grant was the hero for Hendon Harriers in the Nathan Horwitz Cup Maccabi Masters League Division Two, but not for his exploits between the posts.

The match finished 2-2 after normal time, with James Ryan and Yali Mamouri netting for Temple Fortune and Andy Diamond and Geoff Isaacs scoring for Hendon.

It took a 22 penalties in the resultant shoot-out before the Harriers progressed to the next round 7-6, with Grant scoring the winning penalty.

In Division One of the MMFL, Laurence Swerner was the hat-trick hero as Brady Maccabi destroyed Waldaf Town 4-1. Scott Warren completed the rout. Richard Reggel grabbed a consolation for Waldaf.
