This weekend also saw the start of the Masters Cup competitions, with EHRS succumbing to Lions in Group B of the Henry Swerner Trophy.

Both Gideon Barnett and Max Radford scored hat-tricks while James Temple netted twice for Lions to earn them an 8-2 win. whilst Martin Seifert and Russell Rich replied for EHRS.

In the Maccabi Masters League, Temple Fortune and Marshside battled to a 2-2 draw, but the scores might both have been much higher, were it not for the heroics of both goalkeepers.

Despite the ‘keepers’ efforts, Justin Woolf succeeded in putting Marshside ahead, but goals from Alan Harounoff and James Ryan turned things in Fortune’s favour before Mark Davies equalised from the spot with just five minutes remaining, ensuring that the points were shared.
