Maccabi Masters review

North London Raiders moved a point clear at the top of Maccabi Masters League Division One with a 3-0 win over Hendon Harriers. Jon Yantin, Jon Summerfield and Jon Feinmesser were the marksmen.

Title favourites Brady Maccabi A were held 3-3 by South Manx A. Brady’s goals came through Scott Ansher, Jonathan Vandermolen and Mark Wagman.

Division Two leaders Glenthorne United B dropped their first point of the season after a 2-2 draw with South Mancs B. aGary Adams twice put Glenthorne ahead but South Mancs responded with a 30-yard strike from Eric Elbaz and a delicate chip from Ilan Cohen to earn them a share of the spoils. Glenthorne played most of the game with 10 men after Dan Seller was dismissed in the first half for retaliation.

Brady B maintained their challenge with a 2-0 victory over Ashlodge courtesy of an own goal and a strike from Dean Poster.

Meanwhile Marc Morris and Stuart Coutts scored as London Maccabi Lions ground out a narrow 2-1 win against Clayhall Park Casuals. Alan Woolf replied.

EDRS Stonegrove overcame Temple Fortune 5-3 with goals from Phil Silver, Mark Kingston, Martin Sieffert, Barry Silkman (pen) and Steve Krieger. James Ryan, Robert Botkai and Allon Schick-Maier netted for Fortune.
