Maccabi Masters review: April 8

Glenthorne, EHRS Stonegrove and Maccabi London Lions secured victories in the cup competitions in the Maccabi Masters League.

Goals from Michael Abraham (3), Darren Dryer (2), Manny Ezekiel (2), Danny Schindler and Pete Lazard earned Lions an 8-1 win over Marshside in the Henry Swerner MMFL Cup. Sacha Alter scored a consolation for Marshside.

EHRS secured a 4-1 win over Temple Fortune in the Nathan Horwitz MMFL Cup, with goals from Steve Krieger, Dan Hodes, Ian Leader and Martin Seifert.

Robert Botkai replied for Fortune.

Glenthorne launched their cup campaign with an 8-3 win over Hendon Harriers, thanks to goals from Adam Lennard (3), David Simmons (2), Greg Morris (2) and an own goal. Ian Sumray, Richard Morris and Jon Nesbitt netted for Harriers.
