Maccabi League rep team boss Jonathan Kestenbaum has named a 17-man squad for the London Inter-League Cup.
Maccabi, who will take 14 players to the opener, starts the campaign against the Turkish Federation League at Potters Bar Town on Monday 26.
Under Kestenbaum, the MSFL went unbeaten, drawing two and winning one, in the competition last season but failed to reach the final on goal difference. They missed out by one goal. Maccabi won the cup for the first time three seasons ago.
Kestenbaum said: "Last season we learnt a lot about the physical nature of our opponents. It’s a very different style of football than our players are used to playing on a Sunday morning. We'll come up against very strong and quick opponents and will have to be on our game.
"There's no margin for error as if you are not on your game from the first minute then you will lose. We must concentrate on the physical battle, taking our chances and being very tight at the back. The most important aspect is on the blend of the squad. There is a good blend there. Some players are new while other boys have been playing in the league for many years."
North West Neasden are the best represented club with eight players featured. Kestenbaum said: "It's a reflection of which they've utterly dominated the league in a way we’ve never seen before."
Danny Berg will coach the squad with North West Neasden A joint-manager Jamie Cole joining the management set up in an informal capacity.
