The competition started with 60 teams in round one, but it was JFS who were crowned the top team in London after beating St Bonaventure in the final in Walthamstow.
Up against strong opponents from the Catholic secondary school in Forest Gate, which has produced the likes of Jermaine Defoe and Chris Hughton, JFS came away triumphant.
A tight first half ended goalless with key moments coming at either end of the pitch. Zak Simon and Adam Kayne, JFS’ centre-back pairing, were organised and strong at the back, while goalkeeper Zack Leon made a string of outstanding saves to keep the scores level at the break.
