NOMINATIONS
----------------------------
----------------------------
HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A
Zac Lewis - a hat trick in only his second full game - showed great pace skill and composure
Chaim Korman : sensational performance from the youngest in the Korman dynasty - amazing skill and wing play and totally turned the game when he came on
----------------------------
----------------------------
BRADY MACCABI
Sam Monjack (M) - pulled the strings against Scrabble FC
----------------------------
----------------------------
ATHLETIC BILBAUM
Elliot Kindler (CDM) - solid CDM performance, didn't let anything past him and topped the day off with his first club goal
Julius Judah (S) - two goals and two assists with his pace causing trouble throughout
----------------------------
----------------------------
REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE B
Richie Caplin (RM) - came straight form Barcelona to play in game, and did not disappoint. Terrorised the Real Sosobad left-back Dave Levy all game and scored a deserved goal and tucked away his penalty very well. Did not deserve to be on losing team
----------------------------
----------------------------
REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A
Adam Goldman (WB) - asked to play in an unfamiliar wing back role and excelled. He was defensively strong and a real threat going forward
Ben Sollosi (M) - midfield dynamo today. Assumed greater responsibility when his younger brother, Sam, had to go off
----------------------------
----------------------------
OAKWOOD B
Jacob Richler Kleiman (S) - another week, another hat-trick. Finally getting the recognition he deserves. 11 goals in four games says all you need to know
Ben Buck (LB) - Masterful performance at left-back today. Ever present and having a great season
Dan Geey (CM) - The doyen of Oakwood. Aggressive, authoritative and commanding on the ball. Really top performance
----------------------------
----------------------------
REAL SOSOBAD
John Lessem (CB) - total rock at the back, always calm and a leader at the back. Was a warrior for 120 minutes and took the team in to extra-time with a thumping header to bring Sosobad back level to 2-2
Scott Kay (CM) - worked tirelessly for 120 minutes and scored a great goal to put Sosobad 1-0 up. Was a leader in the middle of the park and played on through injury leading in to extra time
L'EQUIPE
Mark Glucksman (GK) - pulled off one save in the second half that would have John Lukic in his Leeds' days proud. Collected every high ball and dominated at corners and crosses
Gideon Chain (RB)- Without doubt his best performance in a l equipe shirt. Gave 200%, ran up and down the wing when others couldn’t move, and kept the raiders wingers in check all game
Ian Baron (Left Back)- Despite playing out of position Ian ‘Baz’ Baron was brilliant. Kept Josh Morris quiet all game, won every header and put in some brilliant challenges
David ‘Dave’ Prager- What more can I say than it’s a true honour to play alongside the legend that is david prager. Won every header that came his way and even found a turn of pace that he hasn’t had since he was 15.
Nick Stern (CB) - an absolute rock all game. With interception after interception, it was as if he knew what Raiders were up to before they even knew themselves. Managing and playing simultaneously is never an easy task but Nick achieved this to perfection, managing to concentrate on his own game whilst also marshalling the troops, altering tactics and making difficult substitutions
James Mandell (LM)- Despite not seeing too much of the ball put in a shift that everyone was so proud of. Tracked back, and fought till the very end, and one piece of skill in the second half made crowd go wild! Embarrassed a ‘premier league’ defender like he wasn’t even there let alone the two footed slide tackle (completely legitimate) that epitomized his battling quality
Rob Simmons (RM)- Again a brilliant shift put in the right winger. Beautiful crosses made when had the chance, and tracked back giving Gideon support the whole game
Mark Singer (CM)- the captain led from the front. He explained how he has not worked that hard in life and after the game didn’t move for at least half an hour. Every header, every challenge was won and the battle versus the whole of the Raiders midfield was epic.
Jules Bohm (CM)- Back in his most favoured position of centre midfield and didn’t put one foot wrong. Put in a shift that roy keane would have been proud of. Was often the last cover for the defense and was composed on the ball throughout.
Mark ‘coach’ smith- Planned the tactics that led to such a battling master class from L equipe and again didn’t put one foot wrong. Call it a mixture of flamini, Vieira and petit all rolled into one and that would describe Mark’s performance. Some skills were on show that hadn’t been seen since our days at Arsenal Soccer skills and composure on the ball that everyone was amazed about.
Andy ‘Beast’ smith- I am running out of words to describe Andy smith and his striking capabilities. Once again two beautiful goals and almost a third when he ran rings around 7 of the reigning champions team. Everyone loves having andy in the side and the way he handled himself after being clobbered by their keeper showed the class of the man
BRADY MACCABI
Reiss Mogilner (M) – another hat-trick – taking him to eight goals in the last three games – seems unplayable at the moment. Oozing confidence
Sam Monjack (M) – five assists and a goal, taking his stats up to seven goals and 10 assists in his three games this season. Undoubtedly one of the best young players in the MSFL
Josh Miller (GK) - another assured performance from Josh. Fearless from set-pieces and quality distribution. A major coup for Brady this summer
