Eli Guttman hopes star striker Eran Zahavi can carry his club form into the international arena ahead of Israel’s crucial Euro qualifier double-header against Andorra and Wales.

Zahavi has virtually single-handedly steered Maccabi Tel Aviv into the group stages of the Champions League and Guttman is pinning his hopes on the marksman getting Israel’s campaign back on track following three consecutive defeats.

Zahavi is one of eight Maccabi players named in the squad and Guttman said: "I still believe that Eran will leave his mark on this campaign. He would have had a brace against Belgium but for some fine saves by Thibaut Courtois.

"We began with three wins followed by three painful defeats but now its money time."
