Ivan Gee paid tribute to his Haroldeans stars after they claimed a ninth successive league victory.

Bobby Abrams blasted a hat-trick for the Merseysiders, who are now ten points clear at the top of the MJSL following their latest triumph.

Abrams had given Haroldeans a first-half lead before Dan Seligman equalised for the visitors just after the break.

But a quickfire double from the Liverpool star against his former club pushed Haroldeans ever closer to the league title.

“That was our hardest game of the season so far,” said Gee.

“The boys worked hard and at the moment we just keep winning.

“Hyde Park played some good football and it was a really tough game, but we came out on top.”

Co-manager Fraser Saville was quick to pay tribute to the in-form Abrams, who has returned to the club with a bang following a three-year spell in Leeds with Rovers.

“Having Bobby back in the side a huge boost for everyone,” said Saville.

“He’s a great asset, a great player and he’s matured a lot over the past few years.

“But the whole team got stuck in because it was a really physical game which could have gone either way.

“The lads all worked hard and worked their socks off. It was a really good game.”
