North West Neasden A 4-0 FC Team A
Premier Division champions North West Neasden A cruised into the final of the Peter Morrison Trophy after putting Division Four title hopefuls FC Team A to the sword at Bricket Wood. Goals from Lee Cash, Ryan Sher, Danny Daggers and supersub Matt Stock eased them home to set up a final clash against last season’s league champions Hendon United A.
Having set their stall out to defenders in two banks of four, the visitors, who were playing in the national knockout semi-final for the second consecutive season, kept the scoreline blank for 20 minutes. However, their solid foundations came undone when an attempted clearance from keeper Marc Brahms hit Sher and fell on a plate for Cash to add the finishing touch.
Neasden doubled their advantage after 31 minutes. Cash’s corner was met by the unmarked Sher who headed home. There was no way back for Mitch Young’s troops who stuck to their task well but quite simply caught Neasden on a good day. Daggers made the tie safe on the stroke of half time after rounding Brahms and slotting home from an acute angle to make it 3-0.
