Matt Crawcour, Wayne Davidson, David Rawlings and Steven Ginsberg guided Maccabi GB to their first gold medal of the EMG as they won the Team Squash competition.

OPEN FENCING (BRONZE MEDALS)
Oliver Strange won bronze in the Individual Foil event.
Richard Bernstein won bronze in the epee.

WOMEN'S FOOTBALL (RESULT: GB 2 GERMANY 1)
Goals from Rachael Myers and Romilly King earned GB Women a victory in their opener against Germany.
GB forged ahead after seven minutes when a shot from Michaela Green hit the post and Myers tucked home rebound. They doubled the lead midway through the first half when Samantha Miller whipped over a cross, Maxine Hotz flicked it on and the onrushing King headed home. Germany pulled one back 20 minutes from time but GB ran out worthy winners.
Manager Arthur Duke told JC Sport: "It's great to win our first match, especially against a German team who thumped us 8-1 at the Maccabiah Games two years ago. We faced an early start in very hot conditions the morning after the Opening Ceremony, from which we didn't get back from until midnight. The last 20 minutes was backs-to-the-wall, but it was a great team performance and everyone got on the pitch. We dug deep to get the result and are off to a winning start. I can’t ask for more than that."

GB U16 futsal made it two out of two, with Josh Nathan, Ruben Wapnick and a stunning strike from Nathan Mann securing a 3-2 win over Scotland. The win followed a 5-0 triumph over hosts Hungary on Tuesday.

GB U18 futsal maintained their perfect start, thanks to goals from Toby Anthony (2), Josh Morris and Harry Caplin in a 4-2 triumph over Italy.
