Israel’s Jonathan Erlich amd Serbia’s Novak Djokovic captured the doubles title at the AEGON Championships at Queens.

Playing together for the first time, they defeated Karol Beck & David Skoch 6-7, 6-2, 10-3 in the final.

Victory marked Djokovic’s first doubles crown on the ATP World Tour while for Erlich, it was his first doubles title since he teamed with countryman Andy Ram to win at Indian Wells in 2008.

Erlich said: “I’m very excited. I’d been waiting to win that title for a long time, for two years.

“First of all I want to thank Novak, he wanted to play with me. He’s a good friend, it has been an honour and I’ve enjoyed every minute."

“It’s a first grass court title for me, in singles or doubles,” Djokovic said. “It’s important to me. I was lucky to be playing with one of the best players in the world.”

Having stunned Andy Roddick, Dudi Sela was beaten by Rainer Schuettler in the Men’s singles quarter finals.
