There were some big performances in important matches in league and cup. Find out which MSFL stars impressed.
Paul Lenchner (Chigwell Athletic) - assured display from the makeshift keeper in the win over title-chasing Brady. Commanding, made a flying save to tip a shot round the post. Came and punched well numerous times
Gavin Sherman (UJIA) - stalwart defender helped keep the dream alive as the U’s reach their first cup final
Dan Levy (North London Raiders A) - debutant did not put a foot wrong in the 5-0 win over Harmen A. A leader at the back. His experience, organisational skills and presence ensured a clean sheet and he got forward at every opportunity. Didn’t shirk a challenge, and hardly put a foot wrong throughout
Richard Starr (Southgate Harmen B) - Starr moved from centre mid to centre back to put in a towering display to ensure Harmen came away with a deserved point to boost their chances of avoiding relegation against title-chasing Oakwood
Ilan Scorah (Oakwood) - “outstanding” in the draw at Harmen B
Doron Weinstein (Los Blancos) - “his second goal in as many games, Doron has brought a huge amount of experience to the side after his deadline day transfer from Chigwell Athletic. His physical presence, technique and power enabled him to run the game from midfield, and his contribution to the scoreline was telling, as he set up his younger brother Ariel for his first, won the penalty for his second, as well as getting on the scoresheet himself with a finish of both power and precision”
Sean Ladier (Blizzard Storm) - Simon Linden’s choice for Young Player of the Year. Ladier was the star of the show in the top of the table clash against Inter
Russell Becker (Chigwell Athletic) - impressed manager Richard Slater with his work-rate and endeavour. Not many teams have beaten Brady this season but Becker was one of the main reasons that the Chigs did
Richie Braham (North West Neasden C) - “ran the midfield against Pinner and set up chance after chance”
Ariel Weinstein (Los Blancos) - “two goals and two assists - in addition to his goal and assist from last week, Ariel has come on leaps and bounds at a crucial time of the season, coinciding with his brother's signing for the team. He's as dedicated as anyone when out on the pitch, gave his all for 90 minutes today and is now getting the goals his enthusiasm deserves
Ben Nassim (UJIA) - an all action performance from the UJIA striker who was pivotal to the heroic comeback in the cup semi-final against Raiders C. Will be one to watch in the final
