Coombe Hill take the honours at Ladies National Tournament - The Jewish Chronicle

A total of 84 golfers from 12 teams in the UK and Republic of Ireland competed at the competition, held at the Eaglesham course for the first time. The teams were greeted by bagpipes at the pre-tournament dinner in the Bonnyton clubhouse before the action commenced. Coombe Hill won the Team Gross Trophy and Singles Gross runner-up. Dyrham Park also featured strongly, lifting the Team Gross runners-up trophy, as well as the Fourball Gross runners-up and the Combined Singles and Fourball Gross. Edmondstown enjoyed a strong tournament, winning the Combined Singles and Fourball Nett, the Team Singles Nett, the Team Fourball Nett and the Team Nett Trophy. Judy Byrne Murray from Edmondstown, Dublin was the star on the opening day, winning the Singles Gross Trophy with a stunning score of 81. Other trophies were also won by Hartsbourne, Dunham Forest and Moor Allerton, while host club Bonnyton won the Fourball Nett runners-up. The teams this year were Abridge, Bonnyton, Coombe Hill, Dyrham Park, Dunham Forest, Edmondstown, Hartsbourne, Lee Park, Moor Allerton, Shirley, Combined Societies and Whitefield.
