Ben Haim: Israel not looking too far ahead

Charlton defender Ben Haim, 32, is backing his team-mates to come through their examination and said: "It's no surprise where we are.

"And we are really confident for our next games. It would mean a lot to qualify but we're not looking too far ahead.

"We're only thinking about the here and now. Wales is a huge game for us.

"We went to Bosnia and won so it shows that we capable of winning against strong teams.

"'We will take that confidence into the Wales game.”

Celtic midfielder Nir Bitton insists Israel do not have an inferiority complex against their star-studded rivals.

"Unlike Wales, we don't have lot of players with clubs in the Premier League and we don't have any Real Madrid players,” Bitton said. “So we are not favourites but I don't think as a team we are inferior to Wales.

“We want to win and we'll be going out to win. Wales is not just Gareth Bale. We'll be trying to beat Wales not Gareth Bale."
