Michael Myers was named Chigwell & Hainault Synagogue Cricket Club’s Young Player of the Year at their end of season awards in Hendon.

The recognition for Myers was reflective of the significant progress made by some of the club’s younger players this season. The efforts of Alex Katseph and Matt Murray (Captain’s Award Winner) were also acknowledged.

Myers had a breakthrough year, becoming a key member of the side with his spin bowling and useful lower order batting.

Vice-captain Matt Murray also came of age with consistent runs at the top of the order.

The club are always on the look out for new players in the Essex/London regions and anyone interested in playing can contact Matt Murray at mhjmurray@gmail.com.
