The reopening of the UK's 'Sistine chapel' plus Egyptian artefacts and Lego dinosaurs

After a two-year conservation project at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, the Painted Hall reopens its doors to the public on March 23.

With various new tours on offer, including self-guided options, visitors will be able to follow a multimedia guide and touch objects inspired by characters or items painted on the famous ceiling, as well as exploring the site including the Water Gate, Grand Square, Victorian Skittle Alley before finishing in the Painted Hall, called the UK’s Sistine Chapel.

Adult tickets cost £12 with unlimited re-entry for a year, while under-16s go free and the first Wednesday of every month is pay as you wish.
