Yossi Benayoun is set for a dramatic Premiership comeback after receiving the controversial horse placenta therapy administered by Serbian therapist Mariana Kovacevic.
The Liverpool midfielder was in Belgrade for three days for the treatment on the hamstring injury he sustained in the draw against Birmingham.
Benayoun had been expected to be out for a month but following the treatment, he has returned to training and could be fit to face Manchester City tomorrow. Benayoun said: “It’s an absolutely routine treatment, just like undergoing an ultrasound.”
