Adam Warner maintained his excellent form with victory at the first-ever Great North two-mile race at Lake Windermere.
Warner, 21, won from a field of 600 swimmers. He also finished third in the one-mile race that attracted 6,000 competitors. "I was pleased with both results as conditions differed between the three days," he said.
Warner, from Stanmore, recently won the one-mile race at the British Gas Great East Swim at Alton Water Lake.
