GREATER MANCHESTER FC 2 SOUTH MANCHESTER SPORTS CLUB 1st 5
South took the lead early on after a well-worked corner that saw Toby Levy and Woolley link up, with the latter providing a tidy finish.
However, it was the home team who then hit back and deservedly equalise which sparking South into life. First to respond was talisman Adam Lavin, who neatly finished to mark his return to first team action in style.
South failed to get going but continued to create, using width well. Woolley added his second of the game to seal victory for South, or so he thought. Greater Manchester came back and made it 3-2 with eight minutes remaining.
Neil Collins' men showed their superiority with a quick-fire double. Woolley fooled everyone, when his cross came off his shin, wrong-footing the goalkeeper to complete his first hat-trick for the club.
It was South's fifth and final goal that was the cream of the crop, Woolley, Levy and Jack Lee linking up, Lee rounding the keeper and slotting home from a tight angle.
South will now face Trafford Mersey in the next round.
South manager Neil Collins said: "Woolley has been taking some stick on the training ground for his finishing in recent weeks, so we're happy for him.
"After praising Ben Peppi last week, the weather got the better of him and we had to take him off at half-time ... by the hour mark, he was in his full tracksuit, scarf and gloves - but we expect that off Ben.
"Next week marks our Morrison challenge and we look forward to travelling to London ... again to face Redbridge.”
