Ashley Stokes has been named top seed for the Maccabi GB Open Championships in Borehamwood on Sunday. Mel Davidson, MGB table tennis chairman, said: “This prestigious event promises to be an interesting and entertaining sporting day out featuring some of the best Jewish players in the country, some of whom are rated in the top 100 on the English Table Tennis Association ranking list. The top seeds are: 1. Ashley Stokes, 2. Eli Baraty, 3. Dov Katz, 4. Matt Spero, 5. Rafi Johnen, 6. Keith Lesser, 7. John Tendler, 8. Rafi Marom. Play, at Yavneh College, starts at 9am. Admission is free.
