First division Woodford avoided a shock in a hard-fought win over Division Three high-flyers FC Team C.

On a muddy pitch, Woodford kept possession and Team were under siege in their own half. Team's defence led by Jamie Breslaw and Eitan Ben-Zion were resilient in a game where they were called into action constantly. The man between the posts for Team was commanding and pulling off some spectacular saves to keep the score at 0-0.

The east Londoners dominated throughout with lack of conviction in front of goal, but a shock was on the cards as the hosts forged ahead when David James Cohen capitalised on a slip by Adam Poole to open the scoring.
