Manchester Maccabi 2nd and Lions Blue will battle it out for a place in the last four of the Jewish FA Cup.
3-0 conquerors of MLL’s stablemates Brady Maccabi in the previous round, Manchester are having a solid season in the Accountants League Premier Division and managers Jonny Rose and Stuart Delmonte are relishing taking on the MGBSFL Premier Division side at Bury Old Road.
Predominantly a young squad, including brothers Harry Myers, the team captain, and Jack Myers, Manchester will look to the experienced Daniel Garmen in goal to set the standard, while Simon Lester is 5-1 to open the scoring.
Ahead of kick-off, Rose told JC Sport: “We’re a good, young team and are expecting a decent game, and I know we’re capable of beating the Lions.
“We hit Brady very early, closed them down high up pitch, worked like a team and need to do the same again this Sunday.
“The average age of the squad is 22 and it’s about trying to build a bit of continuity and sustainability and make sure these boys move into the 1st XI in years to come.”
Rose also believes his partnership with Delmonte will be a factor – “Stu has success in PMT, he knows competition well”.
The Lions have won five out of 12 in the league, but they have a strong pedigree in this competition and will be quietly confident, assuming all their big guns are available.
Winning a Sunday competition is always high on the list of priorities for the club and with their White team facing Manchester 1st in another last eight tie, they will need to put in a real shift against their fresh-faced opponents.

Table-toppers Hendon United are odds-on beaten Camden Park in a top against bottom tussle.
Holding a two-point advantage over defending champions Oakwood, Hendon fans are relishing two consecutive matches against the strugglers as they look to secure the title for the first time since season 2013/14.
Manager Greg Corin has done an excellent job thus far, but he knows nothing is won yet. And he certainly won’t allow his players to arrive at the club they groundshare Hadley FC with in complacent mood.
Camden have had problems finding 11 players week in, week out. And they could struggle more than ever over the next fortnight. His defenders know the prospect of Zac Lewis, Dovi Fehler, Moses Seitler and Yoav Kestenbaum frighten the lives out of most teams in the MGBSFL and they will be no different.
Damage limitation could be the name of the game for Camden.

A big crowd is expected for MLL’s final league game of the season.
Snowed off against Manchester in the Morrison last week, they will be looking to conclude their league campaign on a high and ensure they stay above Redbridge for another week.
Ryan Springer’s boys need a win to ensure they’ve triumphed in as many as they’ve lost, but they can expect no favours from a team that crushed them 5-2 in January. Daniel Garfinkle destroyed the Lions in the first meeting, but he has since departed, much to the relief of the Lions defence.
The battle of the Morrison quarter-finalists should provide plenty of thrills and spills and it’s one that could go either way.

OAKWOOD A vs BRADY MACCABI
Brady gave Oakwood a scare earlier in the season, before the defending champions recovered to win a five-goal thriller.
Brad Wine, Leor Sidle and Alex Lee registered in a thrilling comeback for an Oakwood for whom games have been few and far between since mid-February.
Their management team has been working hard to ensure they maintain their sharpness and fitness levels. I bumped into former boss Ric Blank earlier this week and it wouldn’t surprise me if some of the boys joined him at boxing training. It’s crucial they deliver the knock-out blow on Sunday. Anything else and their title dreams could start slipping away.
They were bang up for the potential title-decider against Hendon last week, until the elements intervened. Cabin fever has been kicking in and it’s important they maintain their focus and win their individual and collective battles against good opposition.
Brady’s away form has been poor this season. Four defeats out of six does not make good reading for managers Joel Nathan, Josh Dagul and Eli Dagul. But truth be told they already have one eye on next season.
Several players have yet to tie down their futures so I reckon around half of the squad could be playing for their places.

LOS BLANCOS vs SCRABBLE FC
It’s been a tough few weeks for Scrabble boss Ray Abrahams – who, for his sins, is also a big West Ham fan. I’m glad to report he wasn’t one of the five banned by the club for invading the pitch against Burnley!
With Blancos having two games in hand, it looks as though Scrabble will finish second from bottom. I recall at the start of the season Abrahams and co were talking up their chances of a top two finish, but truth be told he has been let down by several players, as well as a crippling injury list.
Blancos will have fond memories of their first meeting with Scrabble. Star man Oli Sade, Avishai Kestenbaum, Jake Doffman and Joel Barnett were among their scorers in a 5-2 success.
Sade has scored some sensational goals over the past two seasons and it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s playing in the Premier next season. He certainly didn’t look out of place in the recent cup semi-final against Oakwood and could be the one to watch on Sunday.

Faithfold will be presented with the Division One shield on Sunday as they reflect on a job well done.
Having had the pleasure of watching Avi Markiewicz’s men on several occasions this season, he has put together an excellent squad who are relishing mixing it with the big boys next term.
But I half expect Jason Stein to cut and paste the teamtalk Jose Mourinho gave to Chelsea ahead of that infamous game against Liverpool at Anfield a few seasons ago, as he won’t want his players to be clowns at a circus, especially as they still harbour hopes of a top two finish.
Faithfold will also be looking to turn on the style after being thumped 5-0 by Redbridge last time out.
The first meeting between the teams finished 4-3 in favour of the champs and I expect the rematch to be worth the admission (and car park fee) alone!

Sunday is a huge day for Raiders B as they look to cement the runners-up spot behind champions Faithfold.
Managers Jonathan Adelman and Doron Salomon will ask their players to do exactly what they did on their last visit to Fairlop. Win. And win well.
Jake Gilbert has had a strong second half of the season. The experience of David Dinkin has definitely brought out the best in him, along with the industry of Elliot Espinoza, David Esterkin and several others.
Raiders have been free-scoring at home – averaging five goals a game – but the same cannot be said away, when they have been more inconsistent. They cannot have an off-day in Essex on Sunday.
Redbridge B recorded an outstanding win at champions Faithfold last time out. Dan Gordon and Jamie Bernstein ran them ragged, with Carl Dobrin added another to his tally.
Elliot Coulton has also been performing consistently and the incentive of a third consecutive win for RJC would lift everyone at the club.

HERTSWOOD VALE vs MILL HILL DONS
Mill Hill Dons will be looking to regain top spot when they take on Hertswood Vale for the first time this season.
The teams – who are scheduled to meet again in the return fixture next week – assuming the weather and other factors don’t hamper their plans. Dons boss Brandon Hamme explained.
“We hope now after the fourth time of asking that our game against Hertswood Vale will finally go ahead. Both ourselves and Hertswood have unfortunately got pitch contracts with a maintenance company, who really should just remove the word maintenance from their company's name because they are completely incapable of doing that along with other basic things that you would expect after transferring a substantial fee!
“We have had eight games this season called off by the company, one of which they haven't told us they had cancelled, one because they gave us a pitch which had different size goals and also another when they just decided to not put the goals up on the pitch.
“Due to the sheer amount of games called off, we were unable to enter the Barry Goldstein Trophy, which we were disappointed about. Every manager in our league that has used this company, that I have spoken to, has been as unsatisfied with the service they have offered.
“We have had referees and players sacrifice other commitments and also travel from far away for there to just be no game, as a result of their poor service. We can talk all we want about what the league can do to entice more teams in and keep more teams around but an even more pressing issue is the company who have the rights to every pitch in both Hertsmere and Potters Bar council.
“When people continue to give up there Sundays for games to be called off for no good reason and not even receive a refund for them, there is no wonder why they been drawn away from playing football on Sundays.”
After his Mourinho-style rant, Hamme looked ahead to the showdown with Vale: “Sunday's game is not going to be easy, Hertswood have got the majority of their players back available now with university breaking up this week so they should have a full strength team to choose from.
“We know from last season that when they do manage to get together their full strength side they can be a very tricky side to face. They have also improved on last season, already bettering their points total so we know we are in for a game.
“The battle of the Cohens is bound to be an interesting one but we know the main focus of Sunday will be getting three points. We can't afford to drop anymore points if we are to keep the pressure on both Fairlop and Mincha.
“Last time out we made some sloppy mistakes at the back which we will be hoping to eradicate coming into this game but we look to take forward the attacking threat we caused throughout our game against FC Team. If we are at our best there is no reason we can't pick up another important result.”
Having tumbled out of the Barry Goldstein Trophy on penalties last week, Vale will be looking to bounce back in style and take a scalp that would make the rest of the division stand up and take note.
Joint-manager Jacob Emanuel told JC Sport: “Third time lucky … that's the hope as we approach this fixture. There seems to be a bad omen around this friendly rivalry as our last two matches have been postponed due to missing goal posts and a pitch so waterlogged, Tom Daley may have considered using it for diving practice.
“With four games left this season, we're looking to take as many points from a possible 12 as we can in order to finish a deserved fifth – ‘the best of the rest spot’ - but we know, with a double-header against the Dons to come, and games against Catford and Hendon to come, there are no easy games remaining.
“I've been looking forward to this one all season - last season's matches against the Dons featured Jekyll and Hyde performances, as we won the first game 4-1, before losing it later on in the season by the same scoreline.
“We know however that the Dons have stepped up this season, and no doubt deserve to be where they are in the table. Having said that, we'll be doing all we can to put our stamp on this season's title race ... I've already had multiple texts from Holder and Dias in the hope that we can grab some points this Sunday.
“Danny Hirschberger and I both know that beating the Dons would send out a real statement and show how much we've improved this season, but we know it won't be easy.
“We'll be looking for a much better performance than the one that we produced in arctic conditions last Sunday, and I expect the boys to be up for this one. A lot of eyes will be on the family rivalries ... Cohen vs Cohen in particular - Josh has been counting down to this game for months now, hoping to get one over big brother Zach. Meanwhile, Dons captain Nick Phillips, will be keen to get the upper hand over Vale chairman Jack Shulman. We may need some family counselling following this one!”
This match definitely ticks all the boxes – the pre-match hype speaks for itself. I don’t think I’ve ever heard Hamme so angry following the pitch issues he’s experienced this season and I expect his players to step up and deliver the result his efforts so deserve.

For those who love a stat, in the 10 games that he's played for the Vale across the last two seasons, Millet has only been on the losing side once!” Vale veterans Schogger and Shulman return, whilst Sammy Huberman misses out with a knee injury.
Jordan Rinsler looks set to return for the Dons after seven weeks out with a fractured hand. Both Joseph Reece (fractured ankle ligaments) and Joel Sinclair Horne (broken shoulder) remain out. Adam Isaacs and Adam Ben-Harosh will face late fitness tests.

Fairlop’s juggernaut have dusted themselves down after their heartbreaking Morrison defeat against Raiders and they are ready to go again.
Aaron Dias’s boys will be looking to register a cricket score against a Faithfold team buoyed by reaching the semis of the Barry Goldstein Trophy.
This match marks the return of Daniel Garfinkle and I can see him leading Faithfold a merry dance. And it wouldn’t surprise me if the prospect of him tucking into their backline doesn’t leave them all having sleepless nights.
Fairlop have impressed many with their attitude and application. They are littered with potential match-winners and attacking options and I expect them to go for the jugular from the off.
David Garson rolled back the years to guide Faithfold into their first cup semi-final for several years last week. He will be busy again on Sunday … of that there is no doubt. But I don’t think he’ll have all the answers this time.
