JC GOAL OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
- JOSH GOLDSTEIN (Raiders B) - scored a phenomenal free kick to level things up
- ZAC NEIMAN (Redbridge A) - 25-yard stunner with his weaker left foot, a truly brilliant finish
- DANIEL GARFINKLE (Redbridge A) - cheeky 'Rabona' finish was the pick of his four goals
- DAVID SMOUHA (Camden Park) - GOAL 2 - with his second goal after seven passes and several one-twos, he was left with just the keeper to beat and with a most exquisite dink, fantastic team goal
- DAVID KHALASTCHI (Camden Park) - what we are aiming for the rest of the season started with the keeper six passes ending with Khalastchi tapping in after making a 70-yard run to score
- ROB BLACKMAN (Scrabble FC) - under pressure and sent away by Adam Waters with only the keeper to beat in the dying moments, Blackman rounded the keeper and found the net from an acute angle to net a dramatic winner

JC SAVE OF THE WEEK: THE CONTENDERS
- LEE FEGAN (TEMPLE FORTUNE) - important one-on-one point-blank save, made himself big - you would have put your life on the Boca forward to score

- JON JACOBS (Redbridge A) - "The squad is all ready for the Oakwood clash and have all had valuable game time today so are ready for what is a big challenge between the league’s top two sides"
- JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - QUOTE 1 - "Before the game I couldn't believe it when Matt Stock and Johny Kay turned up - two unbelievable talents but we played to our best level today. Now that Xabi Alonso is retiring, Kay is potentially the best passer of a ball in Europe"
- JASON STEIN (Oakwood B) - QUOTE 2 - "Given our A team are the finest in Jewish football it only seems fair not to take their players"
- JONNY ADELMAN (NL Raiders A) - "It was funny to see Jason's faux outrage given the number of A teamer's he's fielded this season!"
- JOE ZENDER (ML Lions U21) - "Was a great game and a phenomenal result. One of the most exciting and remarkable games of football I have ever been involved in"

YOUR WEEKEND REVIEW STARTS HERE:
PETER MORRISON TROPHY QUARTER-FINAL
MACCABI LONDON LIONS A 3 MACCABI LONDON LIONS UNDER 21 3 AET (U21s won on penalties)
Reuben Rabstein was the hero as the under-21's earned the result of the day after stunning Lions A on penalties in a real thriller at Rowley Lane.
Jack Mattey (2) and Max Kyte were the marksmen for the wonder kids who held their nerve to progress after more than 120 minutes of football.
Rabstein saved two spot-kicks to send the U21s through, with Mattey also converting the winning penalty.
Jubilant U21 boss Joe Zender told JC Sport: "Marc D'amici deserves great credit for finishing the last few training sessions with penalty practice, however much of that goes out the window and instinct took over. The boys kept their nerve and Rabstein was once again the hero in a dramatic shootout that ended 5-4 after seven takers."
DC Prediction: Lions A 3 Lions U21 1

REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A 10 SPEC FC 1
A four goal blitz from DANIEL GARFINKLE helped Redbridge A close the gap on leaders Oakwood A ahead of next week's title showdown.
Dean Nyman also bagged a brace in a one-sided contest in Essex, where further strikes from James Berkley, Matt Berkley, Zac Neiman and Sam Sollosi completed the rout.
Craig Cole fired a consolation for SPEC.
Delighted RJC boss Jon Jacobs told JC Sport: "The squad is all ready for the Oakwood clash and have all had valuable game-time today so are ready for what is a big challenge between the league’s top two sides."
SPEC FC player-manager Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport: "Unfortunately Redbridge were far too strong for us today."

FC TEAM A 0 CAMDEN PARK 4
A deadly double from David Smouha steered Camden Park to their first win under new boss Stirling Kay.
Sacha Nussenbaum and David Khalatschi were also on the mark as Camden moved to within three points of FC Team with three games in hand.
Delighted Camden boss Stirling Kay told JC Sport: "This was a much better second half and I was delighted for the lads who have worked very hard today and the fact we have not scored or created many goals all season, to score four and we created many more today was very pleasing."
DC Prediction: FC Team 1 Camden 2

NORTH LONDON RAIDERS B 2 OAKWOOD B 2
A stunning free-kick from Josh Goldstein earned North London Raiders B a point in a thriller against Oakwood.
Rafi Bloom scored both goals for Oakwood, who led twice, against a strong Raiders team, featuring A-team stars Matt Stock and Jonny Kay. Josh Green was NLR's other scorer.
Oakwood boss Jason Stein told JC Sport; "The performance level today was where it should be. Some of our players put in a display that was the best they've ever given. Credit to Johnny Adelman and his side who were also brilliant and every bit as physical as us. We've always had brilliant matches with Raiders B and today was no different."
NLR boss Jonny Adelman told JC Sport: "Jason rightly described it as a really good contest, which was illuminated by a quite stunning free-kick from Josh Goldstein. We played some really lovely passing football but couldn't get the winner our play deserved."
DC Prediction: Raiders 3 Oakwood 2

ATHLETIC BILBAUM 1 SCRABBLE FC 2
An injury-time strike from Rob Blackman ensured Scrabble FC maintain their title charge with a hard-fought win over Bilbaum.
Jonathan Peters marked his first game of the season with the other in a game of late goals, as Scrabble came from a goal down to claim a dramatic win.
Calling up veteran 45-year-olds Jon Yantin and Jonny Summerfield, playing alongside his 17-year-old nephew Zac, Scrabble did just enough to nick it at the death.
Relieved Scrabble boss Ray Abrahams told JC Sport: "My players showed other qualities today... I'm so proud of the total commitment the lads showed and a determination not to give things up, even after going behind to such a late goal which would have normally been good enough to give Bilbaum the points."
DC Prediction: Bilbaum 0 Scrabble 4

TEMPLE FORTUNE 2 BOCA JEWNIORS 0
Goals from Jake Marks and Jordan Sharifian saw Temple Fortune boost their chances of finishing runners-up with a polished 2-0 victory over Boca at Silver Jubilee Park.
Delighted Fortune boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "This game had potential banana skin written all over it as I had several players missing, but I'm proud of the boys for digging in and winning the game with yet another clean sheet. Boca pushed us second half and maybe deserved a goal but once again my back five dealt with everything really well.
Boca's Anton Nyman told JC Sport: "Generally we played very well and disciplined throughout. Their first goal was a sloppy set-piece from our point of view and from there we were chasing the game as much as we could and overcommited at the end just leading to their second. We can take some courage from the game but have two tough ones to follow in the next few weeks."
Oh and Simon Linden completed 90 minutes for the first time in three years. (Ed. he'll feel that in the morning!)
JC Prediction: Fortune 4 Boca 1
