Haroldeans remain in the hunt at the top after Adam Shiffman inspired the comeback win over Oakhill Lions.

The students held a half-time time lead when Saul Hoyland seized on a defensive mistake early on.

But Shiffman struck a quickfire double after the break to ensure the Merseysiders kept up the pace.

Haroldeans player-manager Jamie Harris said: "After a poor first 45 minutes, we quickly got ourselves on the front foot at the beginning of the second-half.

"Once we took the lead we could have added to it. But we looked relatively comfortable for the remainder of the game.

"We knew that we couldn't afford to drop anymore points so it was an important result for us."
