A hat-trick from Richard Salmon helped FC Team finish the season with silverware after winning the Macc 5’s five-a-side tournament.

On a day when 100 teams made up players ranging from under seven through to the Masters competed, Jonny Breger helped FC Team win the Adults group title with a 4-1 victory in the final.

Brady Maccabi claimed the Veterans competition, while Brady Maccabi (U9), Alyth Belsize (U10), Bushey (U11), London Maccabi Lions (U12), HISFC (U13/U14), U15/U16/U17 – JCC Maccabi Games Team (U15/16/17) were the respective winners in the junior section.

Maccabi GB Head of Sport Matt Travers said: "This has been an amazing experience for so many players of different ages. This event epitomises what Maccabi GB is about, providing sports for everyone, with young players playing for their teams for the very first time, right through to Masters, who we are still providing with football opportunities 40 years later.

"To have more than 1,000 players involved is fantastic. It shows that sport in Jewish community is very much alive and kicking."
