Harry Roache bagged four goals as Heaton Park Rovers bid to end their season in style.
HPR have all but given up the ghost in the league with runaway leaders Leeds Maccabi on the verge of lifting the title.
But player-coach David Seligman is eying cup glory in the run-in following this 5-2 triumph over Oakhill Lions.
He said: “We want to win every game left now but we are concentrating on the cup competitions.
"We are just playing out the league games now. Leeds are worthy winners and they can have the league.
"The plan is to take the other two cups off them. We feel confident of doing that."
A depleted-HPR were indebted to Jonny Franks and Roache’s four-goal saw off Oakhill. The students netted via Charles Braunstein and Matt Polden.
Seligman added: "Our three best players were out. Some boys haven’t played much this season but they came in and performed admirably."
Meanwhile, South Manchester Sports 2nd Marc Magid's 2nd team ended their league season with a dramatic 4-2 victory over Reich Insurance.
Aaron Searle fired a superb individual goal for South, who found themselves 2-1 with a quarter of the game to go. But Magid's men came roaring back through Ian Tussie and a double from Ethan Krell to clinch the victory.
Tussie was quick to dedicate his goal to his friend in London Marc Conway.
South now have two semi-finals to look forward to in the coming weeks.
. Mid-table Reich responded through Michael Freedman’s double.
