Lia Radus registered her second successive under-13 victory in the Metropolitan Cross Country League at Wormwood Scrubs.

There was also double delight for her younger sister, and Shaftesbury Barnet club-mate, Maayan Radus, who was fastest girl in the U11 race.

Maayan also took victory in the U11 race of the North West London Young Athletes League in Harrow, while Sophie Peters of Harrow AC placed second in the U13 event. Both girls led their clubs to victory in the team events.

Richard Goodman placed fifth in the third race of this year’s British Athletics Cross Challenge, held in Milton Keynes.

The final race of the series, taking place in Birmingham next month, will also serve as the Inter-Counties Championship, a title that Goodman won last year.
