Hapoel Tel Aviv's Europa League campaign took a turn for the worse as they suffered a 4-0 demolition against FC Viktoria Plzeň and had former Manchester United star Eric Djemba-Djemba sent off.
Plzen scored twice in each half, with Daniel Kolář's (2), David Štípek and Marek Bakoš, taking them level with leaders Atletico Madrid.
Defeat means Hapoel are now unable to qualify. They play Madrid on November 22.
There was slightly better news for Israel champions Hapoel Kiryat Shmona who drew 1-1 against Sparta Prague in Israel.
Kiryat Shmona made a dream start when Darko Tasevsk scored after only three minutes but they were denied a first win when Leony Kweuke squared things up midway through the half.
