JC GOAL OF THE WEEK NOMINATIONS
- DOVI FEHLER (Hendon Utd) - Dovi was in the right place to finish but his goal was all about Moses Seitler. Made the HMH defence look like they were walking as he breezed past them with skill and speed, was deliberately tripped up when through but regained his balance rather than going down and squared the ball to Dovi who finished well
- ZACK LEWIS (Hendon Utd - GOAL 1) - a remarkable reversed through ball by Josh Harris released Zack who decided to dribble past the HMH keeper before finishing cooly in the corner
- SACHA NUSENBAUM (Camden Park) - stunning 35-yard strike against Maccabi London
- ZACKI DOUMOU (North West London Bears) - showed his strengths to use his pace and power to beat a couple of Fortune defenders and slot away to give the Bears the lead at the break
- CONNOR PERL (FC Team) - perfect lob from 25 yards
- JOE KLEIN (CLUB DE CHIGWELL) - brilliant free-kick after fantastic work from Saul Green
- HARRISON GRANT (CLUB DE CHIGWELL) - scored the goal of the day with a 25-yard half volley which flew into the top corner
- AVI GARSON (Faithfold White) - the super-sub curled a beautiful free-kick from just outside the area, delicately whipped to get it over the wall and under the bar into the top corner for a late leveller against Oakwood
==================
JC SAVE OF THE WEEK NOMINATIONS
- RUSSELL CORIN (Hendon Utd) - had to get down smartly to pull one superb reflex save from George Goldberg
- JOSH ROSE (Club De Chigwell) - made superb reaction save against Borussia Barnet
- JOSH DOBIAS (Club De Chigwell) - leapt like a salmon channelling his inner Michael Dawson heading the ball off the line out for a throw in
- JOE NYMAN (Faithfold White) - at 0-2 down made an excellent finger-tip stop from a fierce drive that was heading top corner and it made all the difference

JC QUOTE OF THE WEEK NOMINATIONS
- AVI GOLDBERG (HMH) - "Hendon are not Hendon and were not champions for no reason. They are a talented team but HMH were left to rue that all-important moment penalty miss at 1-0"
- SIMON LINDEN (Temple Fortune) - "Thanks to NLB for the pre-season promotion hype video I stumbled across this week. They are a nice bunch of lads and very good side that will do well, but I have never been handed on a plate such a easy teamtalk than to show all the players that video. A schoolboy error!"
- AVI MARKIEWICZ (Faithfold White) - "If we can get a little consistency, we could really achieve something this year"
- JACOB EMANUEL (Hertswood Vale) - QUOTE 1 - "What a great advert for Division One! Regardless of the opposition, we knew we had to win our first game of the season, following our promotion to Division One – the fact that it was MH Dons only added to the occasion"
- JACOB EMANUEL (Hertswood Vale) - QUOTE 2 - Following today’s win, Brandon has handed me his notice to leave, so if anyone is interesting in renting a space, i’m actually looking for a new tenant ..."

MGBSFL MATCHDAY ONE
PREMIER DIVISION
HMH 0 HENDON UNITED SPORTS 3
Defending champions Hendon United Sports sent out a title warning as they beat last season's runners-up HMH 3-0 at the Hive, with goals from Zack Lewis (2) and Dovi Fehler.
Proud Hendon boss Jordan Sapler told JC Sport: "I know HMH will call it a game of two halves but without meaning any disrespect we dominated the game through our tactical play and there was only one team that played football and deserved to win."
HMH manager Avi Goldberg told JC Sport: "It was a game of two halves. Hendon were slicker and better in the first and well worth their -1-0 lead at half-time. But the second half was a different story. HMH dominated from the off and penned Hendon in their own half but could not convert possession and territorial dominance into goals."
DC Prediction: HMH Hendon 1
==================
CAMDEN PARK 3 MACCABI LONDON FC BLUE 1
A stunning 35-yard strike from Sacha Nusenbaum plus a brace from Daniel Orgel ensured Camden Park hit the ground running with an impressive 3-1 victory at home to Maccabi London FC Blue.
DC Prediction: Camden 2 Maccabi 1
==================
OAKWOOD 2 FAITHFOLD WHITE 2
Eli Davila and Avi Garson ensured Faithfold White came away with an impressive point following a battling performance against Oakwood.
Josh Cuby and Daniel Seligman registered for Oakwood.
Faithfold joint-manager Avi Markiewicz told JC Sport: "We feel we could and probably should have won that game but considering we were 0-2 down at half-time against a very good team in Oakwood in our first outing since last season, it was a good result.
DC Prediction: Oakwood 3 Faithfold 1

DIVISION ONE
BROOK FARM ROVERS 2 JEWDINESE 8
REISS MOGILNER (4) repaid a chunk of his summer transfer fee with a four-goal bonanza on debut for Jewdinese against new boys Brook Farm Rovers.
Sam Stern (2), Adam Gold and Zack Collins were the other marksmen in a one-sided contest for the Zebras.
Both Rovers' goals scored by Dan Cohen, the first one a lovely team move before a whipped cross in between goalkeeper and defence by Joe Gourgey and a close range header.
'Nese boss Darren Lawrence told JC Sport: “I’m immensely proud of some of the football we played today. The second half was really men against boys."
A Rovers' spokesman told JC Sport: "After a very even first half where we felt unlucky to be behind. It was alose game for an hour but then our heads dropped in the second half after two quickfire goals from them put the game out of sight. Tough first game as a club against a good and experienced team but we move on and look forward to next week."
DC Prediction: BFR 0 Jewdinese 1
==================
MACCABI LONDON FC RED 2 SPEC FC 3
A deadly double from Zack Neiman plus one from Josh Green earned SPEC FC maximum points at Rowley Lane as they held off the Maccabi London.
SPEC player-manager Ricky Lawrence told JC Sport: "It was a great start to the season for us. The game was poised on a knife-edge and could have gone either way but DC made a big save in goal with around five minutes to go. Zack then delivered the goods as he so often does with a last-minute header from a corner.”
DC Prediction: MLR 0 SPEC 0
==================
MILL HILL DONS 2 HERTSWOOD VALE 4
JAMES MILLET (3) continued where he left off last season as his treble fired Hertswood Vale to a 4-2 win over old foes Mill Hill Dons.
Recent arrival Scott Waissel and Adam Lisberg replied for the Dons.
Delighted joint-manager Jacob Emanuel told JC Sport: Today’s win showed just how much determination and fight this team has to compete in Division One this season. In years gone by, the team would’ve crumbled at 2-1 down with 15 minutes to go, but we were great value for the win."
Dons boss Brandon Hamme told JC Sport: "Today was an extremely disappointing way to start the season; it was undoubtedly our worst performance of 2019. We never got going, we were sloppy, lacked any sort of composure and concentration especially when defending set pieces. It was frustrating to watch because I know the boys are better than this and they knew that well."
DC Prediction: Dons 2 Vale 2
==================
DIVISION TWO
BORUSSIA BARNET 2 CLUB DE CHIGWELL 7
DANIEL GARFINKLE was the hat-trick hero as Club De Chigwell won the battle of the new boys, finishing in seventh heaven against Borussia Barnet.
There were also goals for Harrison Grant, Adam Cole, Stanley Offord and Joe Klein as the Essex boys made a statement of intent.
CDC co-manager James Rose told JC Sport: "Everyone stepped up this week and I can’t fault anyone. We were in control of the game from the first whistle and stayed composed throughout. Very proud of the boys' performance."
DC Prediction: Borussia 3 Chigwell 2
==================
NORTH WEST LONDON BEARS 1 TEMPLE FORTUNE 1
Eshed Rahav marked his return to Temple Fortune with the equaliser as Simon Linden's men gained a hard-earned point against the Bears.
Zacki Doumou had opened the scoring for the new boys.
Delighted Fortune boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "I was really pleased with this morning's performance; we worked hard and the whole 15 put in a shift. I’m proud of all the boys - we were focused throughout, showed great experience and made life extremely difficult for a good bears side. On another day we could have nicked it."
Disappointed Bears joint-manager James Harpin told JC Sport: "It was a poor result for us today. We didn’t find our passing rhythm until the latter stages. It’s our first game in the league and was a wake-up call that we can’t just turn up and expect a victory."
DC Prediction: Bears 2 Fortune 1
==================
PARIS SAINT-JEWMAIN 0 FC TEAM 7
CONNOR PERL (3) went home with the match ball as FC Team crushed new side Paris Saint-Jewmain.
Player-manager Mitch Young promised goals, as FC Team delivered in style, with Richard Salmon (2) and David Cohen (2) adding the gloss.
A jubilant Young told JC Sport: "It was a great way to start the season. We were totally dominant from start to finish."
DC Prediction: PSJ 2 Team 3
