YOUR WEEKEND REVIEW STARTS HERE:
LONDON INTERMEDIATE CUP ROUND ONE
NORTH WEST NEASDEN 2 AFC BALHAM 1
Danny Sherman and Scott Kay were the scorers as NWN deservedly got back to winning ways in the prestigious LIC.
Being able to put out a better balanced team for the the first time in two weeks, saw NWN matched their opponents with strength and endeavour, and showed great character to come from a goal down to win the game.
NWN boss Stirling Kay told JC Sport: "We played some very good football in the second half, which allowed us to dominate Balham, and once we went in front there was only one winner. We look forward over the next few weeks to getting more players available and off the treatment table."

PETER MORRISON TROPHY ROUND ONE
HMH HEROES TOP OF THE SHOCKS
BRADY MACCABI 1 HMH 2
Avi Goldberg hailed his HMH heroes as they sent first division Brady Maccabi tumbling out of the cup - in their own back-yard, courtesy of strikes from Dom Feldman and an absolute screamer from 25 yards from Teddie Levenfiche.
"My 17-year-olds matched Brady in every department, and, at times, outplayed them with slick one and two-touch football. Nevertheless it still took 2 outstanding goals to settle the match. The boys have a new level of belief this season as they continue their unbeaten run in all competitions and we are looking forward to seeing how far we can progress in this competition."
DC Prediction: Brady 2 HMH 1

WONDERFUL WHETSTONE TURN ON THE STYLE AT ROWLEY LANE
AC WHETSTONE 5 MACCABI LONDON LIONS GREEN 0
Brilliant braces from Philippe Auret and Alon Pinhas helped the Whetstone wonder kids make easy work of third division Lions Green.
Jonah Gordon-Boyd finished the job in a win that left joint-boss Clive Nathan purring. He told JC Sport: "The best thing about today was playing on the top pitch at Rowley Lane. The boys actually asked if it was astro turf! Many thanks to Lions for that.
"It was also great to play with rolling subs, which meant we had 15 outfield players all getting an hour each. We were delighted to have Sam Grossman and David Clements back from long-term injury. Alon Pinhas hit the bar to deny him a hat-trick and Noah Bier again showed why he is one of the best young defenders in the league."
DC Prediction: Whetstone 2 Lions 1

BLIZZARD BOYS ARE EXTRA SPECIAL
BLIZZARD STORM 5 JEWDINESE 1 (AET)

Victorious boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "It was a top effort from Jewdinese, they really didn't stop for the full 120. Good luck to them for the season.
'Nese chairman Jake Erlich told JC Sport: "It was a frustrating game, especially as we were well in the contest at the beginning of extra-time. I just want to congratulate all my players on working their socks off for 120 minutes and being able to fend off a team who are in the division above up until extra time.
DC Prediction: Blizzard 3 Jewdinese 2

Both Crown goals were scored by the in-form Phil Braham.
Nigel Goldthorpe, Adam Gishen, Alex Bourne, Dan Castle, Adam Harvey, Wayne Davidson and Bray Hochenberg converted from the spot for the Masters.
King Crown boss Jacob Kadoch told JC Sport: "I rotated the squad for the cup and the players who came in did well. It was a very close game and I felt we should've nicked it in the second half. We were flooding their box in the last 20 minutes.
"Yoel Deal hit the crossbar and James Korn hit the post. We had a penalty to win it, which we missed, then missed another to go out."
MMFL squad: Martin Leslie, Dan Levy, Jon Yantin, Nigel Goldthorpe, Bray Hochenberg, Adam Harvey, Dan Castle, Wayne Davidson, Marc Cutler, Lloyd Becker, Alex Bourne, Gavin Hodes, Adam Gishen

ADAM STOLERMAN was FC Team C's hat-trick hero in a thriller that was settled in extra-time against third division Boca.
Team player-manager David Gordon told JC Sport: "We weren't at our best, but the important thing is that we are through to the next round and that we managed to win despite not playing at all well. I’m certain we’ll improve next week."
Boca were undone by a goal they were sure was offside. With 10 to go they pushed on and conceded a late last one. John told JC Sport: "The 4-2 scoreline heavily flattering FC Team."
DC Prediction: Team 5 Boca 0

Ben Binder added a stunning solo goal, with Richard Salmon and Eddie Sternberg finishing the job.
Team boss Mitch Young told JC Sport: "I am very pleased to get through to the next round of the cup. We bossed the first half and allowed SPEC into the game with a defensive error.
"SPEC battled well in the second half but we scored when we needed to score and our attacking play at times was outstanding scoring some lovely goals.
"I'm disappointed with the awful, awful goals we conceded today, but we keep on winning, we keep on scoring and we progress to the next round. Five wins from five - we now have a break before two very tough trips to Brunel."
Marc Hecht, Dan Henig and Anthony Hayman registered for SPEC.

Raiders boss Jonathan Adelman told JC Sport: "Despite the scoreline I'm very happy with the performance and application of the lads. Heads never dropped and we created some nice chances. If we carry that application in to our league campaign we can have another strong season."

Oaks chief Jason Stein told JC Sport: "We expected a tough game, but we played superbly only to be let down by some wayward finishing."

BRIXTON BOYS MAKE SOME NOISE
SHACHARIT DONETSK 1 BRIXTON OLD BOYS 5
Paul Shamplina's Brixton ran in five goals in a comfortable victory over third division Shacharit.
A double from Saul Conway plus one apiece from Lee Cutler, Stefan Benfredj and Josh Kalinsky eased them home.
Shamps told JC Sport: "We scored some great goals and had the game won by half time. We could have had 10, were defensively much more solid and having a goalkeeper in Rob Abrahams makes all the difference.
"I'm pleased to get our first win of the season, now we have to take that in to the league and start showing that this Brixton team is completely different to that of last season. Next week will be a lot harder."
Brixton chairman Robert Silverman added: "I think you should give credit to Shacharit Donetsk who were very well organised and, despite going 0-3 down early in the game, did not give up and in the end gave a good account of themselves."

Dan Geey and Dave Woolman netted for Oakwood.
NLR boss Rob Richman told JC Sport: "I thought we coped admirably with what they had to offer and in the second half when we needed to step it up to get the win we did exactly that."
Oaks joint-manager Ric Blank told JC Sport: "I don't want to say too much about yesterday because it's not worth it. For the first half hour we were the better side but to go 1-0 up and lose 5-2 tells you everything need to know."

COURAGEOUS FAITHFOLD MAKE THEIR POINT
REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A 4 FAITHFOLD A 4

After seeing his team come from 0-2, 2-3 and 3-4 down, proud Faithfold boss Zuriel Solomon told JC Sport: "We showed some good character again with a patch work squad, but the team played for 90 minutes which was pleasing.

SOSOBAD SHOW OFF THEIR SIX PACKS
REAL SOSOBAD 6 LONDON ROVERS 0
Real Sosobad condemned high-flying Rovers to their first defeat with a stunning 6-0 demolition.
Two goals from James Rubin (2), plus one apiece from John Lessem, Barry Green, James Law and Elliott Coulton did the trick for the Essex boys.
Delighted Sosobad boss Dan Shafron told JC Sport: "Today my team played excellent penetrative football from the start. Our passing was crisp and our opponents couldn't handle our quick movement on and off the ball."
Rovers manager Jeremy Brown told JC Sport: "Today was a total shambles. It looked like we were still fasting from Yom Kippur. Sosobad were okay, but we just gave them goal after goal far too easily, and having our keeper sent off didn't help. My players have learnt a hard lesson today but I can promise you one thing - that result won't happen again!"
DC Prediction: Real 2 Rovers 1
