Alyth Belsize Reds goalkeeper Anthony Meir was the star of the show after helping his team reach the final of the Under 11 Maccabi Challenge Cup. He saved four penalties and scored one as the Reds beat Alyth Belsize Whites in a shootout after the semi-final finished 1-1 after extra time. Leo Ackerman’s first-half strike was cancelled out by Theo Abramson for the Reds.
HMH reached the national final of the National Maccabi Cup after beating Hendon Inter Schools 4-3 on penalties. The teams were locked at 2-2 after extra time. Joseph Eagell and Daniel Jacob netted for HMH. Chaim Korman bagged a brace for Hendon. Jacob scored the decisive penalty after keeper Ori Goldberg saved two.
