The JC this week joined forces with Maccabi GB to forge a new partnership.
We have been named official media partner of MGB, who were established in 1937, and will take an active role in helping provide sport, health and wellbeing programmes to the UK’s Jewish community.
This will include MGB school sports tournaments, major events, including the MGB Sports Awards, and tailored sports evenings.
We will also be one of the major partners for Team Maccabi GB – the international events arm of the organisation – who will next compete at this summer’s European Maccabi Games in Berlin.
The deal, which begins with immediate effect, was struck with a handshake between JC Editor Stephen Pollard and Maccabi GB Chief Executive Martin Berliner.
Mr Berliner said: “We are extremely pleased to be pairing up with one of the community’s leading media outlets.
"They are such a prominent feature in Jewish life, so to be approached by them for this partnership highlights the importance of the work we do in bringing sport, health and wellbeing activities to Anglo-Jewry. We are very excited to see this relationship develop."
Mr Pollard commented: “I’m delighted that Maccabi GB and the JC are joining forces and partnering to match two of Anglo-Jewry’s icons of excellence. I’m looking forward to a hugely rewarding relationship for everyone involved."
