London Maccabi Vale 2nd XI suffered a 114-run defeat against West Harrow in the Middlesex Sunday Cricket League.
On a good track and a hot day Vale lost the toss and were offered first use of the ball. Considering the side contained 10 recognised bowlers, the fielding performance was dissapointing.
LMV dropped catches, lacked discipline in the field and gave away far too many runs, and as a result needed over seven an over to overhall West Harrow's massive total.
Pick of the bowlers were Jonathan Freedman, Jeff Permutt and Adam Morris who picked up three wickets each.
In reply, Hertfordshire vetrens, Nigel Rothband and Permutt put on 50 for the first wicket. After that Hertfordshire colleague Jon Lederman and then Gideon Gale both scored freely.
What followed was nothing short of a disaster, Vale lost their last eight wickets for just 35 runs. A dissapointing, heavy defeat.
