Lions still on tracks, says Landesberg

Andy Landesberg insists London Lions remain on target for a top-six finish in the Herts Senior League this season.

The Lions came flying out of the blocks after returning to the Premier Division but results have tailed off to leave them in mid-table despite the best efforts of former Arsenal starlet Austin Lipman and Josh Kennet.

Boss Landesberg says they are primed to hit the ground running after a winter break in their first outing of the year at Buntingford Town tomorrow.

He said: “I’ve been happy with what I’ve seen from my players this season. We would want to be higher at this stage but I think we can kick on from here.

"It's a new squad and a new team who will only get better. I wanted a top-six place and we are on course."
