HERTS SENIOR COUNTY LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION
SARRATT 0 LONDON LIONS 4
London Lions climbed to second in the HSCL table after producing another confident performance to sweep aside Sarratt.
Playing their second away game of the week, Lions were determined to make a quick start and had a number of good opportunities before taking the lead midway through the first half.
Max Kyte was upended in the box as he rounded the ‘keeper, but he dusted himself off to score coolly from the spot to put the visitors in front.
Lions were controlling possession but failed to find another goal. This meant Sarratt were still in the match at half time and they came out with renewed effort.
For a period, Lions were forced to defend stoutly, with Zac Rose and ‘keeper Josh Tray looking particularly assured. However, another goal effectively ended the game, and that man Kyte added to his already impressive early season tally with another strike from a loose ball in the Sarratt box.
Super-sub TJ Keterman then got in the act, driving a free-kick in from 20 yards; before adding his second late on to complete a four-goal away win.
Manager Andy Landesberg was pleased with "another good display, with an important clean sheet".
It’s early days but the feel-good factor in the first team is definitely back.
