John Gregory is the new manager of Israeli Premier Division side Maccabi Ahi Nazareth.

Gregory, the former boss of Aston Villa, QPR and Derby County, has not managed since leaving Loftus Road in 2007.

He takes over a Nazareth team who lie bottom of Ligat Ha’al, replacing Eli Mahfoud under whom Nazareth lost 9 out of 12 matches.

Gregory, 55 will be assisted by former Villa defender Najwan Grayeb. He has signed a deal until the end of the season.
