NOMINATIONS
HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A
Yoav Kestenbaum (RW) - stood up to huge intimidation and any number of questionable challenges to prove the difference between the sides
Ari Nevies (D) - maturity beyond his years at the back - is slowly becoming unsung hero of the team
--------------------------------
BOCA JEWNIORS
Dovi Fehler (S) - three sumbline goals against L'Equipe
Nigel Someck (RW) - battled for everything and was switched on for the entire game
Yehoshua Silverman (LW) - sublime footwork to make space for himself every time, finished a great game with the sixth
Adam Kay (CB) - was a rock at the back
Dovi Vogel (CM) - held the midfield with
Michael Patterson (CM) - battled for everything
Michael Sidloff (GK) - not a lot to do but when he did it counted. Saved a penalty at 4-2 to push us on to the win
Ref - Steve Russell - controlled the game, managed to calm flash points and was the best referee we had all season thus far. Thank you Steve!
--------------------------------
L'EQUIPE (nominated by Boca)
Mark Singer (DM) - had a good solid game in the middle
David Prager (CB) - was a rock, yes they let in six, but without him it would have been more
--------------------------------
LOUGHTON ORIENT
Marc Jacobs (GK) - his kicking and distribution today were excellent, he came and cleared his lines when needed and controlled his 18-yard box brilliantly
Ryan Kissin (CB) - rock solid in the heart of the defence. Nothing got past him and marshalled the back four superbly
Jaimie Sinclair (CM) - best performance from any player all season. Protected the back four and was everywhere today. Didn't allow Norstar to get anywhere near the Orient box
Josh Hambling (CM) - won all his battles in the middle and everything in the air. Distributed the ball well and set up a lot of Orient attacks
Josh Jacobs (S) - took his goal well and was a constant menace to the Norstar defence. Looked dangerous throughout and got back and helped his teammates in midfield
--------------------------------
NORTH WEST NEASDEN
Jamie Cooper (M) - superb against Blancos - ran the midfield fantastic range of passes won every tackle every header superb
Josh Tiano, Scott Kay, Craig Edwards (D) - all three superb dealt with every long ball and long throw and great link-up play in support of the midfield
Shai Davidi (M) - tremendous throughout, two great goals, linked up play very well
Dan Orgel (S) - led the line and ran the back four ragged, scored his fith goal goal in five games
Michael Field (S) - was involved in all four goals, he has to be the best no. 10 in the league - a fantastic performance
--------------------------------
HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB C
Ezekiel Jacobs (CB) - Rock solid at the back, strong in the tackle and won everything in the air. Forming a brilliant partnership with James Neidle at the heart of the defence
Gab Saul (CM) - Energetic performance and dominated the midfield. Scored the crucial goal to break the deadlock
Alex Elf (CF) - Looked back to his best up front. Has been short of games this year but was a constant threat today. Could have scored a hat trick but was integral to his side's victory
--------------------------------
SOUTHGATE HARMEN
Bradley Fox (CB) - was a rock at the back today after four weeks out after getting married, showed no sign of rustiness alongside James Sandler who didn't miss a header all game
Ben Weinberg and Jordan Grant (CM) - the two young boys ran the game for Harmen, up against three SPEC FC midfielders they were more than up for the task, not letting them have a second on the ball and allowing their teammates around them the freedom to get forward. Weinberg also chipped in with an assist
Lee Greenfield (RM) - a world-class performance - getting up and down the right wing. He protected his right-back in defence and was a threat going forward. Scored two good goals that put the game to bed
Samuel Castle (S) - led the line superbly with his partner in crime Alex Bowman. They cause the SPEC defensive problems all day. Castle scored an absolute cracker and assisted Bowman for his goal
--------------------------------
CATFORD & BROMLEY MACCABI
Steve Keller (D) - unbeatable at the back and got forward time and again, delivering a string of crosses
Yonni Bord (S) - a second week without scoring, but the work he does for the team is essential. Constantly beating his man down the left, right, or wherever he picked up the ball, he is almost unplayable
--------------------------------
FC TEAM B
Stuart Haring (CB) – his best game for the club. Won every header and was a calming influence at the back
James Milman (CB) – superb and dealt with everything. Even played on with a now confirmed broken toe
Paul Savitz (CM) – the best player on the pitch by a country mile. Didn’t lose a single challenge – at one point running 60 yards back to make a tackle in the area – and was involved in everything. Also scored a wonderful solo goal
Ben Radstone (CM) – brilliant alongside Savitz and always never afraid to put himself about. A real presence in the centre of midfield. Lovely finish for his goal as well
--------------------------------
NORSTAR LONDON RAIDERS A
David Dinkin (CF) – outstanding performance from the forward and well taken goal
Rob Blackman (RB) – another superb performance from the fullback strong in defence and a constant threat going forward
David Rhodes (CM) – strong game by the skipper capped with an excellent goal
