PETER MORRISON TROPHY ROUND ONE
CAMDEN PARK 2 AC MILL HILL 1

First division Camden were given a scare but they did just enough to go through against second division Mill Hill, thanks to goals from Jake Saunders and Robert Hershkorn.

Camden started the game off brilliantly and very much in the same vein where they had finished against SPEC FC last week. They were moving the ball around well with some slick short passing and looked in total control.

However, it was Mill Hill who opened the scoring midway through the half, with an expertly-taken finish from top-scorer Ben Zloof.

After going ahead, Mill Hill started to gain some confidence and put Camden under a sustained period of pressure for the remainder of the half. Strikers Jamie Kent and Zloof especially, caused the Camden defence problems with their clever and powerful running.

Camden came out determined to turn the game around in the second half. Richard Silver, who was brilliant all morning, gave his opposing full-back a torrid time, and bravely got onto the end of a brilliant Robert Hershkorn looped cross, before the AC Mill Hill keeper, and managed to square it into the path of Saunders who slotted the ball into an empty net from a slight angle.

After pushing and pushing and being unable to beat the AC Mill Hill keeper, Camden were starting to think they were going to need something special and it came with about 15 minutes to play, from skipper Hershkorn with a beautifully struck long-range effort which nestled into the bottom left corner.
