Mike Bloomberg praised his Haroldeans hitmen as his title-chasing side returned to winning ways.
The Haroldeans boss has been smarting since their 6-0 hammering at the hands to Reich Insurance Blue.
Two postponements followed which left the Merseysiders frustrated but his players began to make amends by thumping bottom side South Manchester Sports 3rd.
Adam Shiffman, Maxim Green and Zac Goldsmith all bagged braces. Jack Bookey and Ben Kersh also weighed in during the rout.
Bloomberg said: "It was important to get our previous result out of our system. We have been stewing over that for a while. It was a one-sided contest but what I was pleased about was that we didn't take our foot off the pedal.
"We kept going to the end. South Manchester Sports 3rd, to their credit, did not stop working. Their goalkeeper was excellent but from the start there was a determination to put what went wrong right."
Haroldeans are now one point behind Reich Insurance Blue, but have three games in hand over the leaders.
Bloomberg is thankful the title is still in their hands. He added: "We know what we have to do. “Everyone hopes we have had our blip and can kick on again. I think Reich Insurance White, who are unbeaten, will be the team to watch. We will learn a lot about them and their qualities when we play against them."
Haroldeans' downfall in recent years has been their lack of numbers. But Bloomberg says the strength in depth this time around has given him a selection headache.
Key men Bobby Fishel and Paul Harris were missing on Sunday but Haroldeans now boast the players to step in and fill their boots, according to Bloomberg.
He said: "We had 14 players and managed to use all our substitutes at half-time. It's tough picking a team at the moment and that's what you want. Nobody wants to freeze on the touchline every week and they want to play. So there's a healthy battle to get into the starting line-up.
"Our training sessions are always full. We have an FA coach who has recently returned from America taking the players. It makes the sessions fun but they are also detailed to what we require."
Louie Hewson proved the difference as his hat-trick kept Leeds Maccabi's faint MJSL title hopes alive with a 6-3 win over Maccabi Manchester Blue.
Leeds blew a commanding lead and were pegged back before the Yorkshireman took over.
And that was down to Hewson, whose hat-trick moved Leeds five points off top spot.
Nick Vale (2) and Adam Woolfstein also struck for Leeds as Maccabi Manchester Blue slipped to a fifth defeat in eight league games.
Ben Gould, Max Rose and the prolific Roy Fux were on target for the visitors in the nine-goal thriller.
