Hapoel Tel Aviv bowed out of the Europa League after a goalless draw in Israel saw them ousted 3-0 on aggregate by Rubin Kazan.

The Israelis hit the woodwork twice in the Round of 32 second leg at the Bloomfield, but otherwise created few chances as Rubin advanced on the back of a convincing first leg display.

Hapoel made their intentions clear from the off Dani Bondarv’s powerful drive deflecting off Christian Noboa, only for the ball to rebound off the crossbar after two minutes.

Heavy rain made slick football difficult, and although the rain eased off after the interval, clear openings were few and far between.
