Israel’s involvement in this season’s Europa League ended on a high as Hapoel Tel Aviv beat Legia Warsaw 2-0.

A goal in each half from Salim Toama and Avihay Yadin saw Hapoel run out worthy winners in a game missed by manager Dror Kashtan, due to a family bereavement.

The win saw Hapoel finish third in Group C, two points behind Legia.

Maccabi Tel Aviv finished bottom of Group E, while Maccabi Haifa came third in Group J.
