'Fantastic response' for JRDA

articlemain

The Jewish Racing Drivers Association (JRDA) will be officially launched on September 11 at an event hosted by Lotus Silverstone during the Le Mans Series and Intercontinental Cup.

The JRDA announced earlier this year that they were forming an organisation which they hope will find a Jewish Formula 1 champion within five years, and they have attracted attention from the US and Europe.

Paul Burns of the JDRA said: "We've had a fantastic response from like-minded racing enthusiasts from far and wide and now have a great launch event."

Israeli driving prodigy Alon Day, who has teamed up with the JRDA, will be racing at the launch event and addressing attendees as a speaker afterwards.

Day, 19, currently races in the German Formula 3 series for HS Techneck Motorsport and is currently fifth in the 15-man championship with just under half of the season remaining.

He harbours ambitions of competing on the senior Formula 1 circuit and said: "Having the JRDA logo on my car acts as a visible reminder to our community that anyone with enough ambition and drive can achieve anything."

For information about the event, contact Paul Burns at info@jrda.co.uk.
