Dudi Sela gave himself a massive confidence boost for the start of next week's US Open by winning theVancouver Challenger event.
Israel No1 Sela defeated Australia's John-Patrick Smith 6-4, 7-5 and lifted himself 30 places to 100 in the ATP world rankings.
This was the fourth time Sela has won the Vancouver title – 10 years after his first victory - and his 18th
Challenger title.
Sela said: "It's always nice to win a tournament and it is a nice feeling to win a lot of matches. When I first won the title here I was just a boy.
"Every match I played better this week, so I feel really good and I aiming to play really well in the US Open."
