articlemain

Here are the star men from Matchday 2 of the MGBSFL season.

1. SIMON LESLIE (Scrabble FC) - "replaced Adam Solomons this week as our main keepers are still away and became the oldest player to represent the club in his late forties beating Solomons by about a year. Didn't put a foot wrong and had no chance with their goal"

2.JAKE WEINER (FC Team B) - "first competitive game in two years and was outstanding"

3. SAMMY KINGSTON (Maccabi London Lions B) - "ran up and down the pitch the whole game, got two assists and scored a worldie"

4. ADAM SPECK (Blizzard Storm) - "brilliant" against Raiders A, "kept everyone organised"

5. DARREN BROWN (Redbridge JC A) - marshalled the team at the back, scoring a bullet of a header and all this in the week he gets married!

6. BEN SOLLOSI (Redbridge JC A) - SEE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

7. SAM REEVES (Faithfold B) - two sensational free-kicks and ran the show against Raiders B

8. SAM MONJACK (Brady Maccabi) - "bossed the midfield from start to finish and ended the day with a hat-trick and two assists. Unplayable at times"

9. ANDY SHEENA (FC Team B) - "three well-taken goals including one stunner"

10. DOVI FEHLER (Hendon Utd SC A) - "looks like scoring every time he's within 20 yards of the goal - simply unstoppable at the moment"

11. JOSH NEWMAN (Brady Maccabi) - "when your striker scores a hat-trick, you know he's had a good day at the office. Classy performance"

MANAGER: Elliott Bloom (Faithfold B)
