Danny Caro's MSFL Prem Div TOTS

articlemain

Here is the JC MSFL Premier Division Master-Class for season 2012/13.

1. BEN LAW (Faithfold A) - every successful team needs a top stopper and Law was the model of consistency, pulling off some super saves in a season where he conceded just 14 times in the league

2. NICK LANDESBERG (London Maccabi Lions A) - "Nick has really stood out this year - week in, week out. He was am ever-present this season, driving home from Nottingham every weekend to play and has been superb in every game. Nick is only 19 but has led the defence like a man, scoring several goals along the way. Never an easy position to find myself in, but he really has been outstanding. He will unquestionably go on to even greater heights over the next few years. He is the next Guy Morris, for sure"

3. BRADLEY SHARP (Brady Maccabi A) - an exceptional first season with the club saw him lift the Peter Morrison Trophy and receive a call-up to the Team GB Open Football squad that will be going for gold at next month's Maccabiah

4. JORDAN NATHAN (Brady Maccabi A) - Young, talented, committed and technically gifted. “The best young player in the Jewish league by a mile,” according to Brady joint-manager Josh Rosenfeld. He won the Peter Morrison Trophy and JC MSFL Young Player of the Year to cap a memorable first season in men’s football

5. DAN HOWARD (Faithfold A) - "although the most annoying in the team, he has been a colossus". Those were the words of his manager, Zuriel Solomon, who switched Howard from left back to centre back midway through the season, and from that point the Superhoops kept numerous clean sheets. "He is fit, strong and dominant in the air and his and Alex Levack partnership have made the defence the focal point of the results"

6. ALEX LEVACK (Faithfold A) - helped Dan Howard take his game to a new level. Faithfold's captain marvel was the heartbeat of the team and would be the first name on the teamsheet for every MSFL manager

7. ARI LAST (Hendon United Sports Club A) - "had to undertake enormous responsibility this year following the loss of Josh Bentley and Ben Lauffer in central midfield, and rose to the task superbly driving the team on week in week out and setting an excellent example all-round

8. GREG CORIN (Hendon United Sports Club A) - "Mr Consistent - once again an excellent contribution from Greg - finished as top-scorer in all competitions with 13 goals from a wide left position - with numerous assists as well - always a danger and a constant threat"

9. BRAD WINE (Oakwood A) - "frighteningly he can improve. The season ended at the wrong time for the Oaks given the form he was in during April. He destroyed Brixton and gave Lions nightmares. If he's fit and on form all of next season we'll be OK"

10. ADAM STOLERMAN (Redbridge Jewish Care A) - it was a frustrating season for RJC on the whole, but Stolerman produced the goods most weeks, finishing the league campaign with 17 goals

11. DARYL PHILLIPS (Faithfold A) - "co-manager and also the oldest in the team, and probably still the fittest. Daryl, we all know about but this year he has played a pivotal part in getting us to where we are. Has scored some vital winning goals no more noticeable than the two goals in the LFASIC semi-final been great all year"

MANAGER: ZURIEL SOLOMON (Faithfold A)
