A four-goal salvo from SHIM BENSOOR ensured FC Team romped to victory in the all-Premier Division clash against Lions Blue.

Rick Jacobsen fired a consolation for the Lions.

Team boss Ben Gilbey told JC Sport: "After losing 2-1 to Lions last weekend, and feeling very hard done by, the result this week was exactly what the doctor ordered.

"This weekend was FC Team's best performance of the season so far. We completely controlled the game and even when Lions had chances, there was no doubt that FC Team were only going to be coming out of this one with a win.

"We should have actually pushed on even more and finished the game 7 or 8 -1. Eitan Ben-Zion, Yoav Lebens, Ed Weisz and Rob Sanford all had really good games, as well as Shim and Mike Myers, and the usual impressive performances of the David Cohen's.

"Next week we have a huge game against Woodford and it is important we take this victory and performance into that match."

MLL boss Jamie Kyte told JC Sport: "We were poor from start to finish. The fact that we went into half-time 2-0 down was only due to some fantastic saves from our keeper.

"Having said that, Team were great and really put on a show. After games like that, I'm glad we're able to drop players due to the size of our squad."
